Dr. Steven J. Ekholm

Upon graduation from the University Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Steven J. Ekholm purchased the South Ridge Animal Clinic from the original doctor/owner, Dr. Charles E. Fuller in 1982. As the practice grew, Dr. Steve renamed the facility the “Walker Animal Hospital”. In 1984 the Walker Animal Hospital was expanded to include boarding services, and in 1997, a major remodel added additional exam rooms, improved surgical unit, lab, x-ray with darkroom, a private euthanasia room, and more public space. Dr. Steve is married to Jane and they are pet parents to two adopted cats, Aristotle, and Miko. Dr. Steve celebrated 35 years of service to the community in 2017 where he is renowned for his medical expertise, compassionate care of pets, and sensitivity to clients. |
